A solid foundation for lasting success. Skills such as goal setting, problem solving, and time and money management are the foundation of success in one’s personal and professional life. We support nonprofits that offer life skills development programs to groups such as youth aging out of foster care, individuals re-entering society after incarceration, and the severely economically disadvantaged.

Building a knowledge base to expand opportunities. Illiteracy and a lack of basic education foster dependency on social welfare and support services. With the goal of empowering individuals to becoming fully-functioning and productive members of the community, we fund programs that offer tutoring in adult literacy, that help adults obtain a G.E.D., and other basic education services.

The tools to secure economic self-sufficiency. Obtaining quality, stable employment is an essential step to financial independence and prosperity. The Lauren G. Robishaw Foundation supports organizations that engage in trade skill training, job-readiness programs, and assistance in securing and retaining employment. Populations served by such programs would include, but not be limited to, those with barriers to employment, the high- functioning developmentally disabled, and the homeless and at-risk for homelessness.
